Pumpkin Patch 2012

 The pumpkin patch was a lot of fun this year.  Addison had so much fun picking our her pumpkins, yes she got two small ones and Livi got 3 small ones,  because I also needed them for my 4th Sunday Lesson for church.

Livi had a great time riding in the wagon by herself.  She is sitting but really unstable at times so we came prepared with the bumbo!

Daddy's Big Helper

Addison love for being outside hasn't changed,  but now that she's even more independent I think she would live out there if she could.  Allen was washing his snowmobile cover off on Saturday and had his helper right along side him. 

The wind was blowing and the water was spraying on her.  She didn't mind much but when she saw I was watching she proceeded to tell me about it.  It was almost as if she wanted me to get mad at her daddy for not paying attention.  We have a sassy one!!!!

Afterward they played on the grass and we're just enjoying the warm sun that we sure with would stick around. 

Jackson

Yesterday Allen and I decided to take a drive to Jackson to see all the colors and breath the mountain air.  It has snowed the two days before and had melted just for us.  It was still on the mountains and on the peak before coming down into Jackson Hole, but everything was so beautiful.  FALL Really is my Favorite time of year.  We ate lunch, walked through the shops, got a parking ticket...which we are not paying because we were not in the wrong, and had a treat at our favorite little bakery (cherry pie and Ice cream).  I was a very nice day and think we're going to make it a tradition to drive to Jackson every year to see all the fall colors!!!!!!  We might have to take a different car so not to be impounded or something like that...

Boat Ride

It was a beautiful day, but Allen had to work, so when he was done he rushed home and we headed to the reservoir for an evening boat ride.  We had a great time.  We strapped Addison in and took off.  We wanted to make sure that Maggie wouldn't jump in so Allen threw her right in....Well she can puppy paddle pretty good!!

Life's little pleasures

Yesterday was quite an eventful day.  I love to curl up Addison's hair but we are still dealing with her baby fine hair which doesn't hold the curl very well.   Gel and hairspray help a ton but after her morning nap it's pretty wild and the curl pulls out.  It' sure is cute though.

I was pulling weeds in the front yard and Addison was playing with rocks, dirt and then trying to eat the dirt. She couldn't quite fit the rocks in her mouth; thank goodness they were too big.   She was having a blast!!! 

Addie always wants mommy's phone and sometimes I let her play with it because it makes her so happy, but I have to be careful cause she sucks on it and it can't take much more of that!!!  (look at those big tears because she thinks I'm not going to give it to her, and then that huge smile...how can I not)

Solar Cooking

Well I'm giving a demonstration on solar cooking tomorrow.  I built this solar funnel cooker a month ago and have been trying different things.  I've boiled water in an hour, made carrots and potatoes in 2hrs, made rice in 1.5 hrs, and today I tried biscuits. They have been cooking for an hour now and are not quite done, so here I am just waiting for them.

Unexpected Fire

Well, we had an unexpected event happen today.  A Transformer sparked on a power poll today and started a fire right in the middle of open brush, and the wind was blowing....can anyone say gasoline!!!!!

That is the closest I've come to a fire I wasn't expecting.  We burned weeds at home growing up all the time.  We even burned all the branches from pruning one year and the fire department came cause they thought it was a house burning.  That was funny.  THIS WAS NOT.  It's different when the fire is flaming out of control and headed for your property.

Luckily the fire trucks came and the professionals took care of the problem.

FloWerS!!!!

I love working in the yard, but this year with being pregnant and then having a newborn, I wasn't able to do much.  I did however plant some flowers in the front; they sprouted up and now I'm enjoying them.
