A FAMILY THAT PLAYS TOGETHER.....STAYS TOGETHER!!!!!

I'VE heard this saying but never thought it would become the family THEME...... The "PLAY" part definitely takes precedence. We love ALLEN!!!!!

Mommy and Daddy

Allen definitely has more pictures with Addie than I do, so when I do get a picture with her that I don't take myself, it makes me feel happy inside.  This little girl has, I think, a very cute personality and every time she does something to show off that personality I just have to take a picture.  We took a lot of pictures this week and I'm just going to post some. I am though really excited for it to warm up one day so we can get some outside pictures or pictures of us doing other things besides just staying inside!!!!!  I DON'T THINK I CAN MAKE IT.... SUMMER CAN YOU COME SOON PLEASE!!!!!!!!

Addison loves bath time even more now that she's sitting.  She splashes non-stop!!!

This little lady has quite the number of  faces.  We love everyone of them!!!!

Our First Tooth

I have to say, I don't think I had it as bad as some.  Addie was a bit cranky, clingy and didn't take as long naps as normal, but I feel like I got off better than I should have for my first experience in the teething department.  She still slept through the night.  That fact is the most important to me, but i won't lie,  we were excited to see daddy that night!!!!

The bottom two fronts are swollen.  The right side has poked through and just waiting for the other side.

I love this Man!!!

Honeydew's aren't his favorite (only because he would rather be snowmobiling on his day off) but he loves seeing his wife happy, so it's worth it!!!

7 MonThs

We're Seven months!!!!

Well first of all mommy thinks this baby is growing up way to fast. Although it is so fun to watch Addison develop and grow, its a bitter sweet feeling....I guess that's what motherhood is all about !!!! Pretty soon she's going to be walking then what are we going to do??  So I'm going to live in the moment and share what we've been up to

  • She loves her food.  She drinks a bottle in the morning when she wakes up and then sometimes around 4pm, but she is eating big girl food.  I make her homemade rice and oatmeal cereal, she loves everything i give her...peaches, pears, pumpkin, green beans... (next year I'm going to have to can more of everything)
  • Addison loves finger foods.  Most of it ends up on her cloths or the floor; learning is so fun!!! She is starting to pick it up and put it in her mouth rather than play with it.  It is so fun to watch.
  • Whenever I am drinking out of a water bottle, she gets really excited because she knows I am going to give her a drink.  We started using a sippy cup and she loves it.  She can't quite hold it and drink it at the same time but we'll get there.
  • She's a pro at sitting and bath time is great fun.  Mommy gets her bath as well.  She sure loves to splash!!!  Now that she wants to sit all the time, we really need to work on crawling or army crawling.  She rolls over, but still doesn't like her tummy....practice, practice, practice!!!
  • She loves noses.  In the morning after I feed her, we go and wake up daddy.  She sits by him and plays with her toys,  and daddy's nose of course.
  • Addison gives me hugs a lot of the time by touching her face to mine, head to cheek or forehead.  She likes to be really close and tries to get to close and mommy gets a bonk.
  • She's not  a mommy's girl yet but I can see it coming.  We have a friend at church that will take her when mommy needs to use the bathroom or needs a short break, 11:30 church hits into both naps, but half way through RS she notices I'm not the one holding her.
  • We sing together, she sits on the counter right next to me when I'm needing to use both hands, we laugh, she loves to play with her toys and play peak-a-boo...
 She is the greatest joy!!!

Notice the eyes!!!!  I was grinding rice for her cereal and got some really good alligator tears, but then I gave her peaches and a cracker and she was a happy camper....with red eyes of course.

We're SITTING!!!!

On Sunday I was thinking that Maybe Addison was ready to learn how to sit.  She has been balancing on my lap with me steadying her a bit, so I decided to see what would happen...

On Monday, just following our normal routine, wake up, eat cereal and fruit, play on the floor and practice our rolling.....then I thought, "lets sit her up and see how wobbly she is".  A little to the right, then backwards, oh wait then flat on the face.  I caught her before she really hit.  Then came the cry, "MOMMY I NEED A BREAK."  I rocked her for a bit, she gave me loves, then I put her down for a nap.  We kept trying to sit all day.  She wasn't quite able to sit by herself for more than 30 seconds.  Tuesday she was getting better, Wednesday I thought we had it, but I needed another day to make sure....THURSDAY perhaps??????

THURSDAY...AND I think we have it.  She can sit, all by herself, for quite a while.  When I say a while probable 5-10 minutes without falling over. I wrap a blanket in a horseshoe around her so that when she takes a tumble, she hits something soft. I was doing laundry this morning and left her in her room playing with her toys, I popped in and out making sure she was okay, but she was still sitting....(it was so cute and it made mommy a little sad knowing that her baby girl is growing so fast).

Oh I forgot to mention that we introduced the sippy cup this week too and she loves it....Mommy still has to hold it for her to get anything out of it, but she's trying.

I think every little girl needs the experience of sitting in the sink to have her hair done.  It's so fun and they come to like it.  Well we started that this week so that by the time she's at the terrible two stage she won't fight me on getting her hair done. (I had this epiphany through all the years of watching my little motto girls and how they loved sitting in the sink when I did their hair...good job auntie)  It has really been a fun exciting week!!!!
