A FAMILY THAT PLAYS TOGETHER.....STAYS TOGETHER!!!!!

I'VE heard this saying but never thought it would become the family THEME...... The "PLAY" part definitely takes precedence. We love ALLEN!!!!!

Olivia at 2 Months

We're already at 2 months (9 weeks).  We went to the doc the other day, May 29, 2012, for her 2 month check up and here is what we have to report

Weight: 11 pounds (70%)
Height:  22 1/2 inches (65%)
Head:   15 circumference (30%)

We got our first round of shots, and she was mad at me till the car ride home relaxed her.  We are almost on a schedule.  I really shoot for this because it helps them sleep better and they keep those better sleep habits as they get older.  Well it worked for Addison, so we hope it goes well this round too!!!  Mommy is pretty happy......I think we might be sleeping through the night!!!!

Wakes up between 7:30 and 8am and nurses
We get dressed and interact until around 9am
Takes first nap from about 9:00 to 11:00 (sometimes 11:30)
Wakes up and nurses around 11:30
Takes second naps from about 12:00-2:00
Nurses around 3pm and naps from about 3:30 to 5:00
Nurses around 5:30 and sleeps for about an hour...I try to keep her awake after that till bed
She nurses at 8 and goes to bed around 8:30  (sometimes at 2 am, she wakes up, and nurses again....depends on her mood) and sleeps till around 4:30am
Nurses at around 4:30 and goes back to sleep till around 8am

This schedule all depends on when I feed her.  If I get behind an hour or ahead an hour it all fluctuates.  All I try to do is keep her schedule around when I want her to go to bed and that is around 8:30 so she has to be fed and ready for bed at around 8.  We are still really flexible but soon it should be pretty routine.
Here's what we've been up to:
  • She smiles a lot
  • She's a big talker and plays with her tongue like she's chewing gum sometimes
  • She can really focus on our face.
  • She sucks on her hands and has become a really loud eater.
  • She is already getting a bald spot on the back of her head from moving back and forth.
  • We've tried tummy time a few times, she hold her head up for a bit, then puts it down and waits for mom to pick her up.
  • She is still spitting up more than I would like.  She is a horrible burper.  I hope she grow out of this soon.  I carry baby lotion in the diaper bag just so we don't smell like spit-up.
  • She knows when mommy is talking, she tries to find where the food is

Memorial Weekend 2012

We were able to spend another Memorial day donwn in gooding with Allen's family.  Maybe we will make it a tradition to be down there every year.  We have been since we've been married!! The weather was windy, cold and rainy, but on Monday it was a perfect day.  So much so, we didn't want to leave.  We just wanted to stay sitting on the back pourch gabbing.  I really can't believe that in a few days, Livi will be 2 months.  Wow, time goes so fast when you look back.  I should pattent that saying since I've adopted it.  Allen was sick on sunday so I took the girls to church by myself for the first time...I had Sandra there to hold one of them, but it wasn't easy.  I know this might be bad to say, but until Livi is 6 months old, I will not be going to church by myself with the girls.

It's so fun to see Sierra and Addie becoming friends.  They are 10 months apart, have similar personalities, and need to see each other more.  I guess we'll just have to visit grandma more often.

Addie supervising Daddy!!

We finally are going to prepare for our garden.  We borrowed our neighbors rototiller, and Allen got to work.  Addie sure loves being outside helping her daddy.  She was quite good at staying in her chair so she wouldn't get in the way of the machine.  Actually she was glad to have the distance.  Machines and loud noises kinda scare her.

Olivia at 6 weeks

My little Olivia is growing up so fast.  It's already been six weeks.  She is a good baby and definitely has more patience than her older sister.
  •  She's nursing really well and gaining.  I can already tell she is going to grow on a normal scale
  • Livi's eyes look like they will be blue, but some days they look like they could go brown.  Time will tell
  • We are a pooping machine around here.  She has a blowout everyday and sometimes more per day.  I'm not use to this...every time I change her diaper, I usually have to change her cloths too!!
  • WE are already attached to the binky.  During the day, she can't fall asleep without it.  At night nursing still puts her to sleep without any fuss.
  • We almost have a smile out of this little girl. Give us a week and it will probable be a laugh.
  • She's making little sounds and noises.  They just melt mommies heart.
I love this girl so much and she is her own little personality. It has been so fun to see what she does different than Addison.  I can tell they come form the same stock, but are individual.

Our life in "Too Many Pictures"

Usually when the second baby comes you get less and less pictures.  Well I was so sad that I didn't get enough pictures of Addie when she was under 2 months so I think I've gone overboard with taking pictures of the both of them the past few weeks.  Oh well, at least I have them for now.  I just have to keep this up, but I'm gonna have to get an extra external hard drive just to put all these pictures on.

This is addie's new favorite thing to do...mow the grass with daddy.  When she hears the mower start up she gets upset that he's doing with without her.

Addison is looking like such a big girl.  I think it has a lot to do with Olivia being born, but I am excited for her to start having conversations with me.  (it's coming slowly but surly)

When this little girl was about 3weeks, she thought her fussy time should be around 9 when mommy was ready for bed, so daddy would take her until she fell asleep (which was around 11) and let me get some sleep. One night I couldn't sleep so I came out and found this.  It was a precious moment
My grandpa (pappa) got her this dress.  I think it's so cute and so does Allen, but he thinks she's ready to go to school for the day!!!  ha ha
One of our favorite things to to is sit on the porch, but not in the morning when the sun it hot but sometimes the little girl doesn't understand that.

Addison all of a sudden likes to pull your shirt up and look for belly buttons.

I think she's hungry.  She's gonna eat my face. I laughed for awhile on this one.
My precious Livi at 5 weeks
Addie sure loved wearing this hat to match the overalls.

Livi is trying to roll.  She is also kicking her feet and thinking about sucking on her hands

Addie has to have her bunny and teddy bear all the time.  She can't sleep without them.
We spend a lot of time in my room on the bed watching movies and playing(Im getting my disney fill)
Addie is almost mastered putting on her shoes.  She sure loves trying.  Sometimes she sits in her room for 20 minutes trying and others she is crying for me in a matter of seconds because she can't get them on and has lost her patience. (which she doesn't have much of, so we take it when we can get it)
