A FAMILY THAT PLAYS TOGETHER.....STAYS TOGETHER!!!!!

I'VE heard this saying but never thought it would become the family THEME...... The "PLAY" part definitely takes precedence. We love ALLEN!!!!!

Livi @ 4 months

Weight : 13 pounds    Hight:  24.5 inches    Head:   16 inches

What Livi is doing at 4 months
  • This little lady is very particular.  I have to do things just the way she wants them.  Her blanket has to be just right around her face, she has to be in pajamas, and she always has to start nursing on the same side and finishes up on the other.  If I try to switch that up she gets mad at me and won't eat.
  • she laughs quite a bit now
  • grabbing for everything.  I put her in the bumbo with the tray and put her giraffe and rattle where she could see it and she went to town.
  • last week in church, she screeched...it was disruptive but so cute.  She's done that a few times since when she's frustrated or it seems when she really wants me to understand something.
  • Just a few days ago, she rolled over.  I had her on her back for tummy time and all of a sudden there she went.  She did it three times in a row and has only done it once since.
  • She loves her fingers, and if one hand isn't enough...she tries to get both in there sometimes.
We are still sleeping through the night.  I put her to bed between 7:30 and 8pm and she wakes around 5am.  I consider that great even though deep down I'm ready for her to sleep past 5 am.  If I remember right, Addie started sleeping through without me going and giving her her binky around  7 months, no biggie at all.

Sister Love!! It has been such a joy having two widdle girls...
Just hanging out while mom gets ready
.
I can't get enough of this 4 month old. I just want to eat her up. She is my world along with her sister.

Addison @ 2 yrs

Weight: 22 pounds
Height:  33 inches
Head:   18

What Addi's doing at 2yrs:
  • This girl isn't talking much, but understands well.  I ask her to do something and she can do it. She makes sounds for words she isn't saying.  I know when she wants a drink, blanket, if she's hungry, what she wants to watch because she makes the animal sound.  The words she says are, Ma ma, Daddy, yes, peese, pop (for my dad big trucks because he has a big truck), pop bob (Popsicles), ba ba (bird) and ama (gammy and grandma)
  • She loves to be outside.  Moving the grass with her dad is one of her favorite things.
  • When she hears daddy's truck she runs to the garage door with so much excitement.
  • She goes into Nursery without crying now, just has a sad face when I drop her off and leave.
  • She really isn't screaming anymore just when I put her in her room for for some attitude adjustment time so I have to go in and remind her we don't scream, then she cries and screams with her lips closed.  Its pretty cute.
  • She wants to sit in the big chair at the bar, and sometimes I let her, she just gets more distracted there.
  • Maggie and Addie play chase in the house.  Maggie runs first and Addie follows, then Addie runs and Maggie chases.  It gets pretty crazy sometimes.
  • When she wants a candy or a tums (she thinks this is candy cause I was always eating them being pregnant with Livi and she had to join in), she hold our her pointer finger and says one more.  I guess I am always telling her (just one) that so she must think that what having a candy is.
  • She still loves having her shoes on and can sometimes get them on herself.  That entertains her sometimes for 20 minutes trying to get them on.
  • She tells me when she's poopy and sometimes when she's wet. Maybe potty training will be easy?  who really know.
  • Sometimes when she gets to bed late or has a shorter nap than usual the day before, she will start winning and point to her bed.  She want to take a nap early.  She normally goes down around 12:15 and sleeps till about 3 or 3:30.  In these instances she usually wants to go down around 11:30.  Crazy huh, but I listen cause she know, I guess even at this young age.
  •  We are still reading tons of books.  After the 10th one, I have to distract her so we can take a break. I really do love her to climb on my lap and let me read to her.  She is a really smart little girl
  • She is addicted to otter pops.  I let her have 2 before lunch and then 3 when she wakes up from her nap.  After dinner she usually has another one.  Oh well, its summer.  This is really the only sweets she has in a day so I guess it's okay....she stays hydrated, right!  That's what I tell myself
  • She loves to swing.  Gammy got her a swing for her birthday and it's hanging out in the tree.  sometimes I can't get her out of it.
There is so much more but my brain has hit the wall for the night.
I taught her to make soup the other day.  I remember doing this all the time and it was so fun to see her latch on and run with it.
Morning mom!! Don't I look pretty???  (She is climbing up on the counter now) It cares me but she is pretty careful.  There she is again on the table!

Summer in Full Force

We are sure enjoying our summer. It seems like we have been really busy.  Everything just piles up all at the same time.  The girls are growing and changing all the time and I have to make sure and record all of this.  I just printed a blog book and realized how much I needed to have more posts and pictures explaining milestones and everyday life.  I forget, which I never thought I would but, it's true...my brain is shot.  Maybe it will come back to me one day.

I've been trying to keep Livi up a bit more so to get her on more of a schedule for naps and I guess she showed me.
Seems like since I've introduced Addie to her swimming suit, we can't seen to get it off her.  She goes in the back yard, I turn on the hose just a bit, and she plays for hours off and on.
It has been so fun to see Addie's imagination come to life even more.  She is really starting to play by herself and do all these cute little girl things.  She loves to put all kind of things in her picnic basket and then take them out and move to the next thing.
Trying for a cute picture of the two of my girls.  Addie is not trying to hold her a bit and not cry.  If Livi starts to cry so does she...I guess it upsets her.
We have really gotten into balloons lately.  Up to this point she really hasn't liked them.
Addie blew her first bubble and it was all by herself.  Mommy was so proud

Livi is so alert and is beginning to know when I walk out of the room and I have to say I don't like it.  She talks to us, sucks on her hands, smiles really big and loves grabbing mommy's hair.  I think it was about this time I cut my hair short with Addie.  Maybe it's time to do that again.

Wherever Addie is she usually has her stroller and her blanket of course.  Just pray I don't ever loose her blanket.  We wouldn't survive!!!
There she is again wanting to sit or do what Livi is doing.  Like the swing, she also wants in the bumbo.  She is so tiny that she still fits. SILLY GIRL

She almost likes running through the hose, but I have to make it little.  That's what she was waiting for.

I 'm so glad I have these girls in my life.  Summer has been so fun with them, and to many more.

4th of July 2012

For the past 4 years we have been down at Allen's moms house in Gooding for the 4th.  Since the 4th fell in the middle of the week and Sandra was in Idaho fall staying the night with Allen's brother we decided to stay at home and go up to Idaho falls for the day.  We had a great time.  We saw the tail end of the parade, then we got lunch and went to the park.  Later we went to the zoo.  This was Addison's first trip to the Zoo and she loved it.  She sat in the stroller the whole time, didn't complain, and was very excited to see all the animals.  She can make all the sounds and this is how she thinks she is saying the names.  One day we will get more than sounds out of this girl.  She could talk right now, but she chooses not to.  Then we went to Steve and Marianne's house and played on the blow-up water toy.  We really had a great day.

The Falls
There is a cute little park by the river and we are going to get back there to take some real family pics

Addie ran all over the park.  It is so cute to see her run cause she has such short legs.
My little girl is getting so big.  She has a lot of fun looking around and being outside. She got a little sun and will have a permanent white headband for a bit.
*Having a bigger vehicle has been a lot easier on this mommy!
We went to the zoo.  We don't have a double stroller so we each pushed one.  It was hot but the water mister was a life saver.  The girls were really good and Addie loved the lions the most this trip.

Playing in the water and the slide were all new to this almost 2 yr old and she loved it.  The water was cold but she got use to it.  Grandma was getting big smiles from Livi and trying for a laugh.  Not quite yet.

We got home just in time to watch the fireworks.  We can see them from our house which makes it nice.  We just put the girls in bed and enjoyed the nice evening.  We had a great 4th!!!

  1. Put sugar & powdered milk in a blender (I LOVE using my Ninja for this.)
  2. Put water & butter in a microwaveable dish & let it come to a boil in your microwave; about 45-60 seconds.  Keep an eye on it.
  3. Add water/butter mixture to mixer & blend until combined.  Scrape sides if you need to & blend again.
*Makes approximately 1 1/2 cups.
