A FAMILY THAT PLAYS TOGETHER.....STAYS TOGETHER!!!!!

I'VE heard this saying but never thought it would become the family THEME...... The "PLAY" part definitely takes precedence. We love ALLEN!!!!!

Olivia at 2 Months

We're already at 2 months (9 weeks).  We went to the doc the other day, May 29, 2012, for her 2 month check up and here is what we have to report

Weight: 11 pounds (70%)
Height:  22 1/2 inches (65%)
Head:   15 circumference (30%)

We got our first round of shots, and she was mad at me till the car ride home relaxed her.  We are almost on a schedule.  I really shoot for this because it helps them sleep better and they keep those better sleep habits as they get older.  Well it worked for Addison, so we hope it goes well this round too!!!  Mommy is pretty happy......I think we might be sleeping through the night!!!!

Wakes up between 7:30 and 8am and nurses
We get dressed and interact until around 9am
Takes first nap from about 9:00 to 11:00 (sometimes 11:30)
Wakes up and nurses around 11:30
Takes second naps from about 12:00-2:00
Nurses around 3pm and naps from about 3:30 to 5:00
Nurses around 5:30 and sleeps for about an hour...I try to keep her awake after that till bed
She nurses at 8 and goes to bed around 8:30  (sometimes at 2 am, she wakes up, and nurses again....depends on her mood) and sleeps till around 4:30am
Nurses at around 4:30 and goes back to sleep till around 8am

This schedule all depends on when I feed her.  If I get behind an hour or ahead an hour it all fluctuates.  All I try to do is keep her schedule around when I want her to go to bed and that is around 8:30 so she has to be fed and ready for bed at around 8.  We are still really flexible but soon it should be pretty routine.
Here's what we've been up to:
  • She smiles a lot
  • She's a big talker and plays with her tongue like she's chewing gum sometimes
  • She can really focus on our face.
  • She sucks on her hands and has become a really loud eater.
  • She is already getting a bald spot on the back of her head from moving back and forth.
  • We've tried tummy time a few times, she hold her head up for a bit, then puts it down and waits for mom to pick her up.
  • She is still spitting up more than I would like.  She is a horrible burper.  I hope she grow out of this soon.  I carry baby lotion in the diaper bag just so we don't smell like spit-up.
  • She knows when mommy is talking, she tries to find where the food is
